Thats kick ass! white vinyl on the sides? or paint? What type of wood is it made out of? Did you use the router method or do you have access to a cnc?

No I used a circular saw, router, and jigsaw.. It's painted with Oil based enamels. Satin finish. I like the look of it better.

Beautiful! Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Coming from you, that means alot.. You're restorations are over the top, and I wish I had the time and money to do them that well.

Updated pictures. Still need to polish the monitor bezel, and polish out the long white buttons since I can't find any new ones.

Very very nice! One of my favorite games! My cab is in fairly bad shape. . been planning on ordering a CNC'd repro since I'm not nearly as capable as you with woodworking.

.....

There was someone on here selling some reproduced buttons for star castle/ripoff. I'm too lazy to search, I want to say the userid was p1001? I apologize if thats the wrong guy, but I think the person selling them had some left after I got mine.

Awesome restore/build!

Ok got the monitor color gel cleaned up, and the bezel cleaned.

Got the board set working. These are a PITA.
Sound board was shot, and apparently when they go they often take out the speaker as well.

P1001 did indeed have a few long white buttons left.. Whew.. I wasn't sure how much sanding I was going to have to do to remove cigarette burns.

So it's taken me 2 years to get to this project and it's now complete. I was able to play my first game of Star Castle ever today.
