my Rock-Ola Fantasy cab does not have lights wired in either.

and as for the two spare tubes being dim, that's a common failure with the vector monitors in Cinematronics games... they may just need a rejuvenation but chances are good the tubes have gone bad.

Will b&w tubes easily swap in, or is it a weird, hard to find tube?

I purchased a new tube for my Armor Attack (rock ola cab) and it was an easy swap. I can't remember where i bought it from though, but i think i had a thread on it here somewhere.
