so got my star castle hv issue fixed , replaced a cap in the quadrupler circuit a .036 at 400 volts with a .03 at 630 . and i get this any clues. a bad dac, or wrong value part causing this.
You can swap the two DAC's and see if it changes the problem. If it does, one of the DAC's is messed up. You can order new ones from www.twistywristarcade.com .
is the HV on or off the deflection board? I just worked on a Ripoff monitor with the HV on the deflection board that did the same thing. problem was broken wire on the HV transformer.
ok, i fixed it broken wire , except inside the quadrupeler module . so i built my own 90v power supply from a 2 110 wall warts a 7v and 9 connected them a bridge rectifier and cap and bingo she runs like a top.
