My Star Castle project definitely has the wrong speaker in it (I assume the "right one actually fits the bolts in the cab and doesn't have a capacitor attached to it via two different, random wire nuts).

Does anyone have either a description of the correct speaker sufficient to order one, or better yet, a link to a drop-in replacement?

Thanks!

As far as the capacitor- don't toss it just yet, that was an old trick on Star Castles to keep a surge from blowing out the speaker. Do a search on here as it is discussed somewhere, maybe on Biltronix site? I can't recall.

Edit: Here it is- http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=111154

Great info/ links. I'm restoring a Star Castle and this will be of great help--thank you.

My Star Castle came with a blown speaker and after I rebuilt the sound board I got a new speaker but the bolt holes are just slightly wider than the original so I had to make do. The capacitor is wise to retain so you don't have to buy another speaker if the sound board blows again.
