Stair climbing hand cart for arcade games.

If you live in a place with an 8 floor walkup and no freight elevator maybe. I've found that for the price of a case of beer and some food on the grill my friends are more than happy to help move a machine.

$1700 not worth it, even if i had stair's that is more for some who has a business and could recoup the money back, not a collector

I seriously considered buying one of those about 2 years ago. The price was the biggest reason I didn't.

My stairs are straight down so I just built an electric winch system.

I used to work for a company that ran a vending route (soda machines, snack machines, etc) and we had one for delivering coke machines (which are way heavier than arcade machines). It was a different version, but did the same thing. It was pretty cool.....

Okay Stuart but if I don't buy it you are going to have to make the 3 hour drive to my house to help me get your Astro Fighter and some other games out of the basement!

I have about $300 more than that invested in my arcade hauler (1 ton flat bed with liftgate). But I can at least use that for hauling/moving other things, too. If I had another $1,700, I'd consider an electric dolly. I'm lazy and friends aren't always available when free/cheap things pop up on CL.

that is why i have a winch on my jeep and i have a hand truck i could slide down the stairs, if i had to move games up and down stairs i would empty game cab out of the monitor and power block to make it lighter, as stated above if it was cheaper i would buy one but the price toooooo much

From their website:

"*QLA units have NO stairclimber - only stair glides to protect the step. They do no lifting. You still need Bruno and Moose to help you do the lifting."

LOL!!!

My thoughts exactly! Plus when you have your arcade in the basement you really have to make sure the game your bringing down there is one you want to keep for a long time because it's such a pain in the ass to get it back out if you lose interest in it. With this cart it would be a lot easier to swap games as your interest changes. Of course I'm buying new games almost on a weekly basis so maybe that point pertains more to me than most people.

And everyone on the west coast... note.... they are called "HAND TRUCKS".. not "DOLLYS!"

LOL!

This is a dolly:

I delivered a machine to a guy last year who had one of these, only fancier and more expensive! He literally picked up a Baby Pac. machine out of my trailer, set it by the tailgate of his truck, pushed a button and it not only picked up the cabinet but flipped it into the back of his truck all with one finger movement! He is a serious pinball collector, and he said that no way could have have gotten 100+ games into his house without this contraption... once I saw his house I understood why he spent $3k to get one.

I actually thought it was the neatest thing since sliced bread. He showed me that it was basically dummy proof and you could be drunk or high as a kite and still easily move a machine without damaging it or even breaking a sweat. I was crapping my pants when I saw it flip the Baby Pac into his truck bed all by itself without having to wrestle it or even touch it.

If I had a shitload of money I'd certainly own one of these. Of course I'll never have a shitload of money to blow on crap like this so the best I could do would be to build one red/green style! :)
