Did anybody own this game or still has it? I can't believe how much this game is going for - ebay prices!

I had the *deluxe* version of the NES. So that came with Gyromite and Duck Hunt. While I think the robot was awful idea for a video game peripheral, I did it was cool as a stand alone novelty!

I think the snail's pace movement of the robot hampered the great game of Gyromite. Seriously, this is a good game! It's next to impossible on the later levels using the Robot... I know you can use it sans ROB, but what's the fun in that!

Back to Stack Up.....was this game any fun? From Youtube videos, it looks awful. Almost to the point, not even a game, more of a demo....

This was one of the *black box* games I never owned, along with Clu Clu Land, and these two alone can put a big dent in the old pocketbook!

Stack-Up is a terrible game. I don't know if you saw AVGN's recent video, but he makes fun of the gameplay in it. It's only valued as a complete rare collector piece (Game, box, instructions and parts).

Though, I agree with you that Gyromite is a good game. I remember playing it a lot as a kid. I would press the 2P buttons with my feet using the ROB controller cradle attachment. 2P co-op was fun too because you'd really have to work together to solve the levels.

I had Gyromite back in the day. I didn't even know the robot existed when I had it, though.

It was a lot of fun to play. I really liked when James took two controllers and put them together; I'm thinking about doing that, but in a more neat fashion.

one thing that takes a while to sink in with collectable expensive vintage games, espically on the NES is that the really good ones that everyone knows and loves really arent rare or valuable. zelda, mario, contra, ect are a dime a dozen

I have a complete copy, picked it up a year ago at a local store for $25. I saw it on the shelf and asked if it was just a box, nope it's complete. I made them ring it up right away.
I played it once to try it. You just copy the stack that is on screen then tell it your done no game play at all.

That was my R.O.B. before I sold it. I only had the usual Gyromite set but it was good times. Click the image to see the video on PhotoBucket.
