The stereo output on my ST-V has always been ridiculously quiet, it can barely be heard with the speakers at full volume. Can someone please tell me if this is normal, or is there a problem with my board?

Oh, gotcha. No, I meant the normal audio output that was used in the factory built arcade cabinets. I forgot that they have some other options on the board.

I realise that. There is nothing wrong with your board, the volume control doesn't adjust the output on CN24. The audio from CN24 is low level and meant to run through a separate amp, it isn't speaker level.
The traces connect to the audio before it runs into the amplifier on the board.
I have it going to an amplified 2.1 speaker system. There's obviously something wrong with the board, I replaced the two capacitors before the CN24 connector with no improvement and the signal path is invisible beyond those, so I have no idea where to go from here.dbstallman said:I use the output from CN24 on my ST-V board, but the signal runs into a basic 5-watt amp that I built on a small 1" circuit board with it's own volume control.
