Anybody know/ever use/are for or against these two separate companies for any work...

Arcade Amusements has a shop in a soon to be demolished mall near me. Not sure where they're going when that happens.

St. Louis Arcade Workshop has been around for a few months and is usually the one with the ad for repair work on Craigslist.

Are either of them members on here?

Just curious, is all. I need to get some games up and running. They only need a small thing or two and a few cap kits but with my current work schedule and list of home projects Ive been working on, I got more money than time at the moment.

A bunch of local's know about that one in Crestwood Plaza. I'm not among them but I've heard mixed opinions. Mongo seems to have the most knowledge on them so I'd ask him although I haven't seen him on the forums lately.

Is the teardown officially set yet? Kind of sad to see my childhood stomping grounds turn to dust.

I was out there with the kids Sunday to see Episode One. I had been meaning to get out there for a while to check out a couple of places that sounded cool, one of which was this Sci-Fi Lounge place. Unfortunately they were closed, as were most of the few places that were left there. I went in to one of the three open out of twenty places and asked the guy behind the counter what the deal was. He said they were beginning demo in March and replacing it with a newer more modern shopping center.

That mall was the hot spot back in the day. Then South County & West County got revamped and Crestwood has been neglected and on a slow death ride ever since. Guess Ill have to come down and bid a final farewell.

I have stopped by Arcade Amusements Plus a few times, never caught him open though, and peered in and he has some nice looking games, I am eyeing an EDOT he has in the back and a couple pins. I heard he had the shop a little while back in Kirkwood.

I go with a guy I know in Wentzville when things are over my head. This is his living. He works cheap, has been doing this forever and really knows his chit. And when he quotes a (very low) price, he'll work for days if necessary at that quoted price until it's fixed regardless of the hours it may take. PM me for his contact info.

Before they had Exhilarama (Tilt) downstairs they had the Atari Arcade upstairs in the 80's. Next to Ruma's Deli where the theatre is now. AMC used to be downstairs.

I grew up in the neighborhood right behind the mall & industrial park, was practically an everyday hangout for me. Guess I'm officially an old man now that its about to turn to dust.
