Having a little issue.
Steering wheel on my Spy Hunter, wires were all jacked up / wires were all splice all over.
So I am in the process of re-wiring it,
All the button and triggers are pretty self explaining, (sw) wire / ground for each.
I am having trouble with the weapons vans button / light.
The button / light have a total of 4 terminals. 2 for the switch and 2 for the light.
From @mecha post, which was very helpful see this.

1. empty
2. empty
3. ground
4. ground
5. (a) ground (light)
6. 12volt light
7. weapons van light
8. smoke (sw)
9. machine gun (sw)
10. weapons van (sw)
11. missiles (sw)
12. oil slick (sw)

So the weapons van switch / light has a total of 4 teminals.
I would think to the switch would be number 10 and a ground, either from 3 or 4.
What does the the light have on it's 2 terminals?
I would have three wires left, 5 , 6, 7.

Any help on this would be great.
Bally / Midway schematics are kind of lame when it comes to wiring.

Thanks
Erik

The wires going to my weapons van switch are black/white and yellow/white.

The wires going to my weapons van light are red/orange and green.

Looking at my connector (with empty 1 and 2), it appears to me:

5: yellow/white
6: red/orange
7: green
10: black/white

So, I think 5 and 10 go to the switch and 6 and 7 go to the light.

Pics coming.

Thank you @tstone
Now I get the light and the button works.
Light is really dim.
Is that a 12volt bulb or 6 volt?
Can't read the side of the bulb.
I thought a 12 volt?

Ok will look into that, might have the wrong bulb in there, really dull.
How does the light retain in the switch, mine doesn't seem to look any how that I can figure out, am I missing a piece.

I don't recall how to disassemble this. I recall seeing threads on Spy Hunter Weapons Van Button disassembly in the past. I think taking it apart there is some weird trick like just forcing it or something... understanding how it comes apart may help you understand how it is supposed to go back together.

In this thread: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/threads/spy-hunter-controls-restoration-anyone.125876/

It says:

The weapons van light is just like an 8 liner machine, the bulb assembly snaps out of the housing. Once you get it loose, that frees the black center section from the yoke, and you can then remove the nut that holds it to the plate, and refinish the plate.

I'm not sure what activates the "snap" part, which is obviously what you need to keep it in place.

@tstone Got thanks. it snaps , was afraid to force, Thanks Again.
Still have to figure out my dim lights, will try other bulbs.

No not yet I guess that will be the next step, Also looking into the free play roms.
I have the files just have to find which roms I need to swap, Any Idea?

I'm guessing you find low voltage at the lamp itself.

I don't use free play ROMs, my machine remembers credits after I power it down, so I just put a bunch of credits with the service credit button from time to time and it's essentially free play.

I see free play ROMs on this site that say they go in locations 6D and 10D. Yours may or may not be the same:
