I have installed the Spy Hunter Switcher adapter from Arcade Shop and the directions mention that if you have a bad hum to install a 4700u 25V or greater capacitor on the +12 and switcher ground. Do they mean to install two on in circuit with the +12 and on on the ground circuit or do you install it with one end on of the cap going to ground and the other end to the +12 circuit? I am wondering if anyone here has done this before and they can elaborate on the directions. Thanks

put the + end of the cap on +12, and the -end of the cap on the ground of the switcher.

it should be the dc or logic ground - depends on how the switcher is labeled. You should not hook it to the AC common, or earth ground.

and also, with the +5 drops on mcr games, you can get a high +12 off the switcher. with that, putting a 7812 (12v regulator) on the +12 line can help too.
