Hello! I am in the process of restoring a Spy Hunter. I want to get a good color match for the red portion that surrounds the "weapons van" button. Does anyone know of any color matches? I may have it powder coated along with the other metal parts. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks in advance!!

I tried like 6 different red spray cans. ( my powder coat guy didn't have a match either. None matched exactly, so I went with the closest .
Valspar made a red that is dead on , but I don't think they are around anymore.

I had a picture on my phone of the can but since deleted because my SH is nice and done.
There is an old thread about on here. Where I snapped the pic only to find out the paint company ain't makin them. I don't even remember what I used ( it think it was krylon apple )but it matched the weapons van button red pretty good.
That was fun restore despite the color insanity. Had sand out some dents and take sand paper and hit it with sanded part down with a light hammer to remake the sand casted, pitted original texture .

What about the powder coat color for the hand grip part of the steering yoke? Anyone have a code or color name?

If I go to my powder coat guy for another run of parts I ll ask him what I used . It was a textured black . ( one of like 4 or 5 he had ) matched perfect to the original.
I did two sets and ended using the 2nd on my Assault right after I bought it .
I have another set that is in near mint condition if anyone is interested.

I'd love to know what the black texture is. I have several sets to do or if you have a clean set of SH handles I'd be glad to take them off your hands. :)

This is what I used on my grips.

I think it came out great.
