spy hunter steering wheel pot needed. the one on there has dropouts. its also not original, the shaft is a little to short. to make the gears allen screws grip the shaft, it has to be not correctly lined up with the other gear. the shaft is a little too short. the one in there is a RV24YN20S B502. google shows it to be 5k. the schematic doesnt show the value. would 1k be better? anyone have a part number for one with a longer shaft and the correct value and thread diameter? thanks much

1k or 5K or 10K are all fine.

you just need one with the correct length and diameter shaft, these are a dime a dozen.

you really need somewhere around 300 degrees rotation/measurements with linear measurement.

I can grab a part number/link for you later this evening.

Try this, Pin.

I've not ordered these myself, but I've helped a number of people use these as replacements and everyone has said it's worked fine.

There's really not too many special things about this pot; most pots would work as long as they're linear taper with the right diameter and length shaft.
