The Peter Gun sound works.

All of the other game sounds DON'T. In test mode for the sounds there is nothing. Not even crickets! I do get a display of " Sound Board A9 A10 "

What does that mean! A9 and A10 aren't on the board and the manual shows them being empty.

ANY HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

I have the same issue as you except it displays "Sound Board interface error". Looking at my board I can confirm there are no chips in A9 or A10. That is weird. Are there any chips on the sound board that look damaged or burnt? Maybe try reseating A7 and A8.

I have the same issue as you vic in that it says "Sound Board interface error". Did you get anywhere with it? I'm going to check ground pin 20 on J1 first, but there is a mess of things it could be.

i had the same issue. " sound board interface error" never got it fixed but i did buy a non working set off of ebay and used the SSIO board to fix me up.

Here's a compilation of snippets I gathered from the forum. Might have an answer for you. If not, someone else searching might find this and help them. lately I feel there's been hesitation in members voicing what they know about board diagnostics. Why, I don't know. But I share what I have.

I also re-flowed all solder on the ribbon connections for all boards, but I really think it was the Z80... Couple of the joints were pretty suspect, so I do recommend it. It goes fast, those joints are small so they move quick when re-flowing.
