I have purchased my first game to work on. Spy Hunter by Midway. The problem is that the sounds for weapons etc does not work. The music does work. Hitting the testing switch pulls up a Sound Board Interface Error. How do I go about fixing it? Please dumb down any responces all of this is new to me. In the process of learning...thanks all

Wow First post:

Welcome to KLOV:

check all connections; especially the ones going to and from the 2 or three boards.

Start with the easiest thing first -- check the volume control for the game sounds and make sure that's not your issue. Does turning the control do anything? Are the wires installed properly on it?

The volume for the music is on a different control so it's entirely possible that one could be loud and another very soft or inaudible.

Thanks for the reply. Checked volume already and that is not the issue. Will check wiring next. What could the error message mean?
