Just finished restoring my Spy Hunter from the ground up. This was my first attempt at a complete cosmetic restore. I think it turned out great. Thanks so much for everyone's posts on this forum. It's given a newbie like myself the knowledge to tackle something of this size. You can see my restore pics here:

I stripped the cabinet down to bare wood, used bondo for any cabinet repairs, primed and painted with an HVLP sprayer, and then applied new side art and a new CPO. Everything metal on the game was also taken down to bare metal primed and painted. The only thing left to do is get a new Bally / Midway logo plate for the coin door.

Next up.....Tron!!!!

WOW! That looks great and is inspiring. I need to do mine soon. I have everything to do it except space and time. Love it, thanks for showing it off.

Nice! It's always nice to have that feeling that you saved a game and restored it back into beautiful shape.

nice job, it looks great, did you restore the mm & qbert next to it as well? they look really nice too

No, the MM and Qbert I bought from takeman. Both have been restored. The Qbert looks virtually flawless and MM is a very solid 9. I've got a Tron that I've started on that will be my next big project. Thanks for the kind words on the restore. I'm sure some of you could offer me some tips for future projects, but all in all this was great learning experience. I was a little intimidated going into it because there were soooo many parts and pieces, but as long as you take a ton of pictures and label everything it all goes back together easily.

Just ran across this. I've just started mine. Very nice quality! I hope mine turns out as well! Basically a brand new game you got there.
