Spy Hunter pinball:Only right flippers do not work?

Hello
Got a quick question for the experts. I recently sold a guy my Spy Hunter pinball machine. I had it checked by a tech and it was 100% working when it left. Well, a few days later he has no power to both right flippers (upper and lower) anyone have any idea what this could be? I know it was an "as-is" sale but I hate to just leave the guy hanging. If anyone has any idea what this could be so I could let him know that would be very helpful, Thanks guys!

Check the under playfield fuse although it is usually for both flippers. Also check for wires that might have came loose going to those two flipper solenoids.

Flipper button switch not making contact or wire missing?

Probably a leaf switch style...could be a possibility..the contacts on the switch leafs could be dirty or corroded or something..

I am going to contact him this weekend, hopefully this will work. Thanks for the tips so far guys. I always hate selling machines since stuff like this can happen but I just don't have room to keep them all unfortunately.

Nice of you to try and help him, but don't feel guilty about the pin breaking. They all break in time and I'm sure this won't be his last problem. Whenever I sell machines I offer to help if they have problems, but if I can't figure it out then they are on their own. I'll show them the different places they can go to get help/troubleshoot.

When you sell someone your old car/truck it's the same deal. As Is Where Is. You shouldn't feel obligated to come fix it if the alternator dies, a wire comes loose, the tire goes flat etc.

Yeah, I hear you. He was pretty cool about the whole thing also and didn't demand a refund or anything, just feel a little bad since it was his first pinball and I did have a tech check it out so I told him it should be good for awhile. Oh well, I haven't heard back so maybe it's working okay now...?

Bumping this old thread because I had the same problem on my Spy Hunter pinball and found a solution (with the help of Kawydud) this weekend. Maybe down the road someone else will be searching around for a fix and find this thread like I did.

Both the upper and lower right flippers were not working on mine either, but we tracked it back to two cold/bad solder connections on the solenoid driver PCB, where the connector attaches to the header pins. You'll have to remove the PCB, flip it over and take a look at the connections on the back. Mine were obviously bad but even if they look ok, a quick re-flow may help.
