Does this work at all? Or any other solutions such as PC capture card. Perhaps with the arcadeshop's 'Video Timer Chip for MCR Games' that I am about to install?

Am just wanting to put the game video onto a video projector to project onto the wall at our upcoming Houston Arcade Expo next month!

Another option would be to mount a small camera and route to the projector that way, but I would really rather have the raw video from the machine to also use in Youtube videos and such (there is no raw video from the board on Youtube that I know of, it is all emulation).

Thanks guys! I have wanted to make this work for years!

Another question to this, is I've already farted around with my game and a cheapo video board and realized that the picture gets very washed out when putting a video card in parallel with the CRT.

How did they do it back in the day when there were monitors mounted on top of games so everyone could see, was there some type of video booster device, or just 2 CRTs work fine in parallel (or series somehow) with each other?

I don't know how they did it back in the day, but I've heard others say that when they split their video signal, the picture looks washed out. That's an intriguing idea hooking that up to a projector. I can tell you that the video signal coming from MCR games really bothers a lot of monitors and many don't do well with it unless they're the older monitors from the 80's like the G07, 4900, 4600, K7000. Hopefully you can get it working with this projector okay.

Look for the add on boards the used in Dragon Lair cab. They had an extra board the split and amplified the RBG signals to another monitor. There is a set listed in the FS section now.

Ok, wonder if anybody has just the board, and not sure if it would work because there is only one input (BNC at that) and one output.

If you were prepared to do a little harness construction then maybe you could get something easy like this to work for you?
vga splitter

Not sure if you would need a signal booster also or not though.

I have a number of Extron devices that have worked great for various monitor dilemmas and I know previously they made splitter/duplicators that do exactly what you want.
