First off my apologies if this has already been addressed, and i just missed it. I just bought a spy hunter upright and initially everything was pretty good. When first turned on, the screen would jump a bit, but that usually goes away after a few minutes and everything is fine.

My issue is that suddenly my gas pedal just stopped working. You can enter a game fine and the weapons van will drop you off, but once you try to accelerate, nothing happens. You get the sound as if you're driving, but no go. I figured it was probably just a bad pot, since it looked like it still had the original one. So I pulled that out and installed a new one (http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/ETI-Systems/EUP1125-1K/?qs=wuXwK9wHm9szNR53rQCYPw==), but once i got it hooked up I can't get the car to move.

Now, I am a n00b at arcade repair, but I've done basic electrical work, so i pulled out my multimeter just to make sure I'm still getting signal. I tested all the connections from the pot up to the absolute power board and they all seem good. If anyone has any ideas on a fix for this I'd be ever so grateful.

This is probably a stupid question, but you ARE trying to move in LOW GEAR right? If you're in HIGH, it won't move...

...you also went in to the test menu and calibrated the new pot, right? You need to make sure that the your are showing 00 with the accelerator fully upright and around 21 I think it is with it fully pushed down... this is from the CONTROLS screen not the calibration screen...it's easier to manually calibrate on that screen.

Not a stupid question. I've done enough help desk work to know it's usually something stupid like that, but no. I am in low gear. I haven't gotten it calibrated yet, because I haven't been able to get into the test screen. Like I said, I'm definitely new at this.
