Just picked this up couple mins ago, in fairly good shape, it works but the car jumps around on the screen and some vinyl is pealing from the side and someone put the handles on the wrong side, but other in that its very solid and nice. It was only 15 min drive from my house, and lets just say the deal was very good...worth all of the 15 mins I drove to get it. Guess what I paid for it, I am very grateful for the person who I got it from and he is a very good honest guy. Tell me guys what you think of it
Ill post a video of what its doing later tonight

Strange that every SH with original art I remember has the front of the side art beat down like that... mine too.

Also, who in the heck decided to put the handles on backwards?

Nice score.

dunno the guy i got it from said it was like that when he got it, and every pic i seen of spy hunter the side art is jacked

Looks like your vinyl side is in pretty good shape so you may just have to go order the car replacement sticker from Prok to be good to go!

My sideart was faded similarly if not quite as badly -- I find it very interesting that it always seem to fade the same way.

I think there's a couple of people here that are trying to sell replacement control panels for SH right now so you're probably in good luck if you have to go that route.

Seriously. It's such an incredible pain in the ass to remove those grips in the first place, then someone reverses them?? The guy who did it probably re-installed them after a repair, realized they were backwards, and said "screw that, I'm not taking that shit apart again."

The control panel is not that bad of shape, just the plastic piece that goes on the base of the steering wheel

I'd take all the chips out, clean them, then put them back and go from there.
Perhaps check the voltage to the pcb as well.

start by replacing the ribbon cables, and cleaning the pins.

Mine does the jumping bit too, but only intermittently and only when the game is first powered up and only one or two times before it's fine.

If you nail down the cause please share!

I have all new interconnect cables (except for one SOB that just wouldn't fit). I wonder if it's just dirty pins as CDJump says?
