Spy Hunter cockpit seat question

Oh, great zf. So you're saying you have a somewhat intact seat bottom then? The raised portion is still there on yours (but cracked I assume)?

Phineas Foo lives 10 minutes from me and he's already helped me with a non-gaming vacuum forming project. So while he is relatively new to the boards here, hopefully I have enough history here that you'll feel comfortable about it. I'll use my seat back to make the molds for that part, so if that gave me any reason to think your seat bottom would be at risk I would definitely not proceed with yours without talking to you first, but from what I understand about the process, I think that "worst case scenario" is highly unlikely. I would imagine the turnaround time would be pretty quick also. I'll be seeing PF again this weekend so I'm sure we'll talk more about the plans and the timing of when this project can get off the ground. At that point I'll PM you to work out the logistics if you are still willing.

Thanks!

ikarispy (or anyone else), is it possible to get a pic of the "end" of the plastic? I can't quite tell from your pics where the edge is, i.e. does it wrap down the front of the seat base? Obviously you don't want someone's legs rubbing against an edge of the plastic so lets get some detail on what they did with that edge.[/QUOTE] Here ya go. I wonder if you could support the seat bottom with that expanding foam (great stuff) instead of automotive foam. It may give more support to the plastic seat.

ikarispy, Is your bottom seat completely gone?? I don't see the raised section in your pic... Just the raised section itself on the plastic is what I'm asking about.

My seat bottom is gone. It was that way when I bought it. It's pretty neat though, my cabinet was built from pieces of a tron or edot.

Pics of my seat

Finally got around to it....
