Spy Hunter 2: Chicago

As long as I've been in this hobby, this game has been talked up to be one of the WORST ever. It it funny that those creepy moppet machines are 100x more desirable than this apparent abomination.

That game is in very nice condition and supposedly HUO. Maybe the gameplay sucks but for someone that wants one this is probably the nicest one you will ever find.

The one nice thing I can say about Spy Hunter 2 was it completely made me forget the bad taste in my mouth that Joust 2 left me after playing that huge let down of a game. I was a huge fan of Joust and man that sequel was the shits.

Spy Hunter 2 was a taste worse than I could have ever imagined. How they went so wrong after the great original game is still a mystery to me.

I've TRIED to play it on MAME...

...it looks god awful.

I'd take the opinions of many here and avoid.

I just played it in mame for the first time refusing to believe that a classic game could be ruined in a sequel...I was wrong, it really is horrid.

When I first started looking for arcade machines ( I didn't know better ), I bought a spy hunter 2 boardset without checking what the game play was. That was over 10 years ago. I bought it for $10. It's still in a box. I don't even know if it works.

I just got in a few boxes of NOS Bally parts and found some SH2 shifter assemblies.
I said to myself " what am I gonna do with this crap".
Normally just about ANY NOS part is worth something. SH2? Not so much.

Apparently somebody thought it was worth buying (flipping) at $500...because it has magically disappeared from CL and re-appeared at $950 (although this time with no pics).
