You know the saying "If you were only closer". I am looking for a driver and I love that game. I'm sure it will find a good home. - Barry

Random question, but were there any clues in that cabinet as to places where it was operated? I used to play Sprint 2 all the time at the Smith's Food King off of Fairview & Main St. in Meridian BITD (I think there's a Rite Aid there now). Smith's always had 2 or 3 games right up at the front entrance, and I'll bet the Sprint was in there for at least 5 years, beginning in about 1979.

That was back when there was a Pojo's (when it was a real arcade) in the shopping center over across the street where Albertson's is, another arcade called Mr. Bill's across Main St. in that older western-looking strip mall, plus about 10 other machines spread between the Round Table Pizza and Keystone Pizza that were in those malls. That intersection was the epicenter of arcades in about '82!!

This one was out of Buhl Idaho and was not from an operator and there are no stickers on it to show who might have operated it. I know of 2 more Sprints here that are owned by an operator and i would not be surprised if one of them was the one you played.

I also have a Sprint 2 in my collection that has a history here in Boise. Unfortunately, I don't know much about it. I picked it up from a former op's family that had it in their home since the late 70's.

I have an opportunity to purchase a Sprint 2 in exellent condition for $200 here in the town i live in. Does yours get a lot of game play? I'm not sure my kids would play this? I have a Pole Position and they like that but it has much better graphics.

Sprint 2 is all about game play. The graphics are very basic, however, the fun of two people racing against each other at the same time more than makes up for any lack of graphics. Sprint 2 also has a dozen or so tracks to choose from, which also makes it more fun than PP. My 13 year old daughter loves the game, and everyone that has ever played it at my house has had a smile on thier face the entire time. I honestly think it is one of the best racing games ever. It's a very under rated game just because of it's age and the black & white monitor.

Thanks Hatrick, i'll go down and pay for the game today, I appreciate the advise.

Crap I was hoping it was complete. I have allready been down the Mach3 conversion road and wasnt able to find all the parts. PM what else is available :) Thankyou....Dave

Some one should pick this up. I played this game all the time when i was a kid! I went back to that Arcade the other day on the advise of Hattrick and bought it. My only worry was that my kids wouldn't play it in our home Arcade. I was wrong they love to race eachother and challenge eachother on the different tracks.
