I may have an opportunity to get a spring break pin and I'm sitting on the fence with this one. The price is what I consider good and it shows well. My only real concern is that it is a sys 80b game and I already have a nightmare sys 80b (hollywood heat).

Were they all junk (sys 80b) or did I just get the lucky one.

Thanks.

I don't know about gameplay, but it may have the dumbest backglass ever.

Raven back glass is worse.

Spring break pin is pretty decent.
Some system 80 issues are exagerated.
I had a mars god of war with no issues for like 3 years.

Mr pinball guide book list the spring break trade value at, $625.
But if you are buying it the final price is really up to you and the seller.

Decent? yeah if like a bunch of drunks with bad haircuts. LOL Raven is pretty bad too though.

To answer your question...No!!!! Yes the Gottliebs of that area do have grounding problems and not just limited to 80b.....

I have a system 80A all I did was remove the battery from the board and I've never had any problems. Guess I I'm lucky with that one cause my system 1 gives me all kinds of trouble.

Nice....Consider yourself fortunate........Which ones are in the collection?

system 80 games do have issues as mentioned in this thread but they are pretty well documented and have all sorts of repro parts you can get to fix them if needed. and the grounding problem is actually really cheap to remedy

Agreed. But what remedy is there for that stupid backglass

I suppose you could design your own, could it really be worse? gottlieb did crank out some games with art that were a photo representation of the bad parts of the 80's lol
I don't know? I'm not a fan of customizing pinball machines. The come off as cheap to me. If it was me I wouldn't buy it unless I had a mullet and a poster of Wham hanging on my wall. LOL

These 80's gottlieb backglasses are so cheesily 80's that they are great for 80's themed parties. Just my opinion.

Gottlieb had some of the worst backglasses ever.....and Spring Break is near the top! The playfield isn't pretty too. The game is unique in that it has a setting to start multi-ball at the beginning of every ball.
