OK, so its not about games but it is about my quasi game room. My game room gets INSANELY warm in the summer. I think part of my problem might have something to do with the "reclaimed" closet that I dug out of one of the walls in the room (the builder covered up a usebale 3 foot deep by 15 foot long area). The ceiling in the closet is that 1/2" chip board and its NOT insulated at all on either side. I plan on getting up in the attic and spraying the top of that area with spray foam. I had to buy a kit that covers 220 linear square feet which is way more then I need. I planned on using some of the material around heater registers and pot lights in the ceiling throughout the house but I'm still going to have a bunch of extra material. I hate to toss it so I was thinking about covering the back side of the drywall on the ceiling of my game room (inside the attic) with whats left. Of course I will rake back the lose cellulose before I spray but was wondering if anyone here knew if this was a good or a bad idea. I'll rake the lose cellulose back when the foam cures.
