Hello,

I'm having difficulty getting the Jellyfishing spinner redemption game to work (Chicago Gaming). My client called me that something was burning when he turned it on. After investigating, I did find out that the motor was fried with black soot coming out of it. The motherboard had fried transistors for the motor. Two of them were fried. The traces connecting them were cooked. The power supply did not want to come on. I have now the new motor and power supply installed. I tried calling Chicago Gaming for help and the transistors were the exact type I was told to replace. When I hooked everything up, the motherboard wasn't booting up. So, I disconnected every connector. Turning on the game with the power supply installed had no problems. Then, I plugged in the power connector to the motherboard. Its LED started blinking. Then, one after I plugged in a connector without the motor connector plugged in. It booted up with sound, LED display and lights by the time I was done. Then I plugged in the motor connector. The power supply hissed as the motherboard did not boot up.

Before I attack the motherboard again, I need correct transistor part numbers for Q16 and Q18. They are located at P29, PMOT1 header. I can't say for sure, but I may have been told the wrong part number.

Can someone please help me find the correct part number for those two transistors?

geeze. those couldn't be in a more difficult spot to see. the pics attached are as good as I could get. (they likely don't help)

I am unable to read the transistor types because of the angles of the camera. At least you found the right ones. You can temporarily remove the connector and use your camera's flash to capture them. Please focus on the text of the transistor. It's the outer transistor closest to the motor connector and the inner one that's hugging behind it. If you need to carefully bend the outer transistor closest to the motor connector to capture the inner one. I know that it is in a difficult spot and you may have to move the circuit board out, as the best alternative, for close-ups. My client's game is still down. I greatly appreciate your efforts in helping me fix that game.

please confirm you're looking for the two items circled in the pic. I'm not sure when i'll be back at the machine again, but it should be between now and the 4th.

Checking in to see whether you were able to get part numbers off those two transistors you circled. Thanks.
