New episode tonight featured the guys finding a 1978 Williams Disco Fever pinball and selling it to an arcade dealer in Fort Lauderdale for $600.

Next week they find a Ms. Pac Man, can't wait to see what that gets valued at.

Yeah, I saw it was on, and just when they got to the arcade dealer part, we got a heavy rain storm and I lost my dish signal :( It came back on right at the end so I saw the $600 value and next weeks preview. Looks like it's on again Friday night at 9pm Eastern if anyone wants to catch it.

That is an interesting show to say the least. I do enjoy watching it, however, there are a few things that annoy me. One of which I like Ton Jones, but I can't stand that other guy, for some reason everytime he gets cocky or over excited I just have an urgent to want to kick his ass............... lol.

Secondly, they give away 90% of the show in the openeing... which really sucks. As there is not much surprise left when I actually watch the show.

Other than that, it's fun to watch, also Pawn stars and American pickers.

A good episode would be if the Auction Hunters & American Pickers took their shit to the Pawn Stars to sell.

On tonight's episode they found a Ms. Pac Man which was in fair condition. They took it to a dealer in Los Angeles who offered them the fair "KLOV" price of $150!
They took it home, added some bondo, paint and stencils and sold it for $1300.
I can't wait to see how many people refrence this show when making their ebay/craigslist posting.

I saw both episodes tonight. The Disco Fever was probably a little high at $600. But the sucker that bought the Ms Pac had to have been blinded by the possibility of being on TV. They almost as good a job on putting the stickers on as Noice did with his Moppet Crystal Castles. The didn't bother to strip the paint, they just sanded it down. I didn't see them patching any of the holes. The just peeled and stuck. The sad thing is that (a) they thought they did a great job and (b) now every shmuck with a beat up Ms Pac thinks that they can get $1300 if they put some cheap stickers on it.

I swear We should just remanufacture 20 or 30 ms pacman games.
Later we can sell them an upgrade to the 1 in 60 boards.
Take a trade in on the Ms pacman and Put them out in the market again.
Later we can sell them on a mame idea a Upgrade them again.
Take the 1 in 60 boards and sell them to the New Ms Pacman customers who want an upgrade.

Ducks for cover and laughs

i could see someone paying that much for a ms pac if they were totally ignorant and didnt do any real research. its an iconic game so it would have a wide audience of people who might want one. also, compared to other hobbies its not like $1300 is that much to spend. people may not be aware how drastically the value of these things has dropped.

one other thing to note is if you arent real good with a computer or dont have alot of experience with ebay or craigslist, the price might not seem so crazy. i did a quick google search for "ms pac for sale". first thing that comes up is a restored ms pac cocktail for $1995. google shopping results show multiple new ms pac/galaga games for $3,300+

so if someone just did a quick search without knowing anything they might think $1300 is a good deal. people buy overpriced shit all the time.

The show's completely fake of course, but I'm with you. I would pay 50 dollars to order Pay Per View of that cocky motherfucker getting his ass kicked. I'd rather watch him get his ass kicked then watch George St. Pierre fight this weekend.

The reason I *KNOW* the show is fake, is because any random person in any episode would have ALREADY kicked his ass if it wasn't fake. They probably had to pay all the actors to NOT kick his ass.

first of all it was a PAC MAN cabinet (not ms pac man)
second--
so he put sticker art on the sides.
did he fully rebuild the game?
anyone who properly restores a ms pac man knows this should be done (besides cabinet work).

1) new control panel overlay (install after sanding and painting the control panel powder coat black.
2) new fuse blocks and connectors
3) rebuild monitor completely and rejuvenate the tube. if it has screen burn, install a new tube.
4) restore the game board edge connector and board traces if needed.
5) new clean fuses
6) new player one and player 2 start buttons.
7) new monitor bezel glass (if needed)
8) new front cab kick plate
9) new leg levelers on bottom of cabinet
10) new marquee bulb and starter

...but it has a brand new giant sticker. 1300 please!

I like the episode of Pawn Stars where the son bought a non-working Evel Knievel pin for $1100!! lol

Just catching this on re-runs right now. I was amazed at what a crappy job they did "restoring" the cabinet and came here to see if anyone else had noticed... apparently so!

Wow, $1300. They showed money changing hands, but not the faces of the money changers. Did he really not buy it? That would be hilarious.
