No clue what this thing is worth, but it has never been in a machine as it was shipped directly from Stern to me....

It is actual glass and like I said has never been in a machine so make me an offer or something.
It's located in Denham Springs so if you want it you're coming to get it!

Ok I was really hoping I wouldn't have to do this, but here it is...

This is the limited edition black Spiderman NEVER USED REAL GLASS back glass...
I can pawn it for more than $100 so please be real with your offers and remember the normal translite goes for over $100 when they are available!

To give you an idea of what you have their and what it might be worth, my understanding is there were only 3 or so extra backglasses ever made as "extras" that didn't go in machines. Rumor had it that the only way to get these from Stern was supposed to be as a replacement for a broken one and you had to send them proof of ownership of a BSM, your serial number, and the actual broken glass. I'm not sure if these things are 100% true, but that's what I've heard.

The only other one I've ever heard of being for sale was a "second" with some defects. I inquired about it since it was local and the seller supposedly had offers over $1k for it. I have no idea what he actually sold it for.

Best of luck with your sale, and whatever you do, take care of that thing! If you must ship it (YIKES!), pack the living heck out of it! :)

Chris

Didn't Stern do givaways for some backglass artwork on Facebook? I thought they did that almost every month.

They have given away translites, but I don't think they've ever given away a backglass. I would be SHOCKED if they ever did a giveaway with this particular backglass, or one from one of the other LEs to receive a real glass.

I've had an offer of $700, but the guy wanted it shipped. So thinking $600 if you come get it. I can snap a picture or two of it tonight and post it here.

Edit: I WILL NOT SHIP THIS! This came directly from a friend at Stern so it's the real deal and I believe I might still have the box it came in with the packing slip.

I'm in the process of buying parts to fix my project truck otherwise I would put it back in the box and keep it for the next 10 years. If someone doesn't come get it that's what will happen with it.

Im calling Stern tomorrow to see if I can anything like this. I didnt know they sold so high. One of my customers just "BROKE" his...:)

Good luck as I can almost positively say they don't have any more...

The black back glass was a limited edition and on actual glass. Good luck finding one!

Also: I'm putting it back in the box and throwing it in the closet. For some reason people don't get the "WON'T SHIP" part that I keep saying.

I would assume the amount of people that your are actually marketing to right now is very small since you wont ship. I do why why your not shipping though.

It doesnt have to ship usps or any other carrier, you could send it truck line on a pallet for around $180. Just put it in a giant ass box well package with no stacking labels allover it and fragile glass.

As I've said before if it doesn't sell oh well. I will pack it back in the box it came in and throw it in a closet. I've shipped a BG before and it got broken because postal carriers are idiots that don't care about packages and the hastle wasn't worth it.

Locking this thread for the Op. It will disappear soon per request.

Personally, I can understand him not wanting to ship a rare item.
