I had a church call up my work to fix this game. The steering wont respond. I asked if they had a guy who could try to fix it with my help over the phone and they said yes. <Didnt want to charge them unless I really had too> So would anyone have a few suggestions of what to check in this. I would guess either a sensor or belt is bad or broke. Ive never seen this game some Im just guessing. Any info would help.

They should let you edit titles, no need for jokes I already seen my error.

dude, my first thing to check on that would simply be the wires on the steering pot. I had the same problem with my Grand Prix Star. The player two side wouldn't move becuase one of the three wire ends slid off of the pot ends. Seems like unless they are soldered to the pot (which can still fail) those little things can jiggle loose after transporting or whatever.

If they are intact, I'd move down the wiring line to see if a pinout wire is snapped. Then down the line more and more.

But defiently start with the steering pot.

I asked the pastor/electrician to check the connections and follow the wires and he said they all look fine. I was going to see how much a new sensor board would cost but I have yet to find one. If they arent too much I would tell him to buy one and switch it out.

I've had several service over the years on that game title.....always the same....steering is out. Everytime it's been the same fix....the small molex connector has worked loose from the steering opto board. There's a big ass shaker motor connected to the steering wheel. If you've got kids playing it, it'll almost be shaking non-stop. Did the pastor actually open up the control panel? I've unplugged the shaker on a couple of my repeat problem games.
