Speaking of virtual pinball games, who remembers Epic Pinball?

Has anybody else played this old DOS game back in 1993? The new Williams game reminded me of this game and I just found an emulator that plays it on my Mac. Surely some of you have played it, right? Its probably the best pinball sim I have ever played. Hands down.

I loved those games! I might still have the floppies in a box somewhere, or I gave them away with a bunch of older games I had not too long ago.

Many hours were spent playing the Cybergirl table!

Oh yeah no doubt I've played them. Cybergirl, Deep Sea, a racing one, and others I'm sure. They were fun.

Played the piss out of EP, it was great. I remember getting the shareware disk for them and doing something to crack the time limit on it. As I recall it was plaintext in a config file or something equally trivial to do. Haven't thought about it in years, may have to dig around and see if I can unearth the files and get them running.

My favorite of the old school pin sims was Night Mission Pinball from Bruce Artwick's company (subLogic???). They made the first flight simulators before Microsoft bought them. Update: Google is your friend. There are sites out there devoted to this dinosaur :D

My second favorite was Bill Budge's Pinball Construction Set. This let you build your own virtual pinball games. Also released on the Apple ][. It was eventually bought by Electronic Arts.

Played them again a year or two ago on DOSBOX.

Memories have more color and a higher resolution than reality.

But they did represent the state of the art back in the day.

I used to play the hell out of Epic Pinball! I somehow got my hands on a full version... Epic had some other really cool games... Tyrant? I think was one similar to Aero Fighters but alot more in depth and you bought upgrades... I remember being in awe seeing the graphics on Tyrant if thats the name of it.
