Do any of you remember this game? I remember playing it on the commodore 64. I wonder if it is playable on anything now?

Anyway I think Leisure suit Larry is based on my neighbor.

Speaking of Sierra games.. there was an 'update' of the first King's Quest made, for PC, and it's in full color/VGA. Not officially released though, but it should be easy to find online.

The Space Quest games were fun too....

DosBox will run the MS Dos version of the original, and there was also a LSL collection that runs under Windows with all of them in there.

Windows engine for early Sierra games. Plays them with more or less perfect 3-channel sound and speed. I use it, and it works great. This will also link you to tools to make your own Sierra games and edit / troubleshoot / hack the originals.

You'll have to find the Leisure Suit Larry file. If you want to play games which came directly after the early ones, that's the SCI interpreter.

I have the first two or three Space Quest games totally complete, brand new in box. I picked them up for the fun of it, cause I thought they looked cool.

Man! I loved all these games BITD! Could anybody beat Space Quest 4 I think it was? It was the one where you time travel, and every time I would get into the mall in the zero gravity skating rink the time pirates or whatever they were would blast me. Even with a strategy guide I could never get past that point.

"Geez those pointy shoes hurt!"

That was a fun game when it came out!

If you washed your hands or flushed the toilet the bathroom would fill with water and you'd drown... but the best joke was when you had to go buy the condom and everyone suddenly poked their heads around all the aisles and yelled "What a pervert!"

:D

I think I have all the Leisure Suit Larry's at my parents house. Let me know if you might be interested, I have a big box of DOS games sitting there. Games like Leisure Suit, Police Quest, etc...

Speaking of Leisure Suit Larry.

Still got my copy.

Makes me want to fire up the ole lunchbox portable and play some LSL! :)

Hard to believe but I bought that computer in the late 80's early 90's (can't remember exactly) for $5,500. It was on the cutting edge of portable computers back then.

386DX with math chip

8 MB of memory

180MB hard drive

Both 5.25 and 3.5 disc drives

Gas plasma display

3 Serial ports

1 Parallel port

1 SCSI port

VGA port for hooking up external monitor

MAN! Those were the days! ;)

DosBox and the original files and your set. You can find many of the original files online by searching for abandonware.

There was a company a few years back that was remaking several of the Sierra games with somewhat updated graphics. They initially called themselves Tierra. After a bit of searching, the games are still available for download, but by a different company, AGD Interactive.

Head to http://www.agdinteractive.com/games/games.html and you can download Kings Quest I, Quest For Glory II and Kings Quest II. It appears that they are done remaking the classic Sierra games and are focusing on their own "adventure" games now.
