Well i made the trip down to Sparks Georgia, Im sure glad i did a scouting trip before sending the semi down. There were around 150 games in the building, some decent titles, but nothing spectacular. The building had been basically closed up for 10+ years. In the large part of the building, the games all soaked up moisture from the concrete, Luckily, there were a few rooms that did not do this. I was able to save about 25 machines, the rest were parted out on the spot and anything of value mostly taken. I did have to leave some stuff, but just stuff that was hard to transport back home, like 25 inch monitors. There were a few nice finds as well such as NOS 720 speaker grill, data east star wars pinball topper (nos) and a few nos kits like tmnt.

Troy, do they soak up moisture from the concrete if they are on leg levelers, or is it just the ones where the bottom of the cabinet is sitting entirely on the floor?

NOt positive, but the hulk pin was on the legs, and it was safe, some of the games were on pallets, so they were fine.
It was a strange sight, there was one area that was a carport type building with a large section of the wall missing, and everything in there was really good shape, The door that was used to for one area had been shut so long that a tree had grown up and was aver 4 inches wide. In that area, we removed part of the wall to get the games out as that was easier than cutting the tree down.

Everything that was left is going to be thrown in a dumpster. there were a half dozen dedicated mk, mk2 and mk4 cabs that were all destroyed from water damage. and 2 KI2 cabinets. but i was able to get 1 ki cab that was on skids

Pretty neat pictures. What was the story behind this? Amazing to think theres still a lot of vacant buildings sitting around with this stuff in them.

10 years of yuck.....Sad to see these games just rotting..If I could only figure out how you guys find these lol

Looks like a nice find. That guy had a lot of blitz games. Do any of the games work?

There was no power there to plug things in. ALthough I did have a generator with me, I focused on getting as much parted out and loaded during daylight that i wasnt plugging anything in. I still have not plugged any of them in either, I just unloaded the games into my warehouse and have plenty of other stuff to work on first

Is that Q-Bert cocktail I see? Not nearly as nice artwork as that one in the rare cocktails thread, but a cool find none-the-less.

So sad... Whoever owned this didn't care and let that place go to hell. Luckily you didn't plug them in. I would have let them sit for a while to get all of the moisture out for sure. Glad a collector got to it before all was lost! Take care of them. They need your love!

On the chance that you parted the Congo Bongo completely out and could sell everything but the cabinet, PM me, I'm interested!

That's mostly a sad sight.. I saw an Ast Dlx and a few that were interesting. Lots of junk, but glad you got some good picks!

From looking at some of the pictures it looks like the floor at one point got flooded, provably after a hard rain. And yes even if the game has the leg levers, if the water gets high enough it will creep up the leveler and rot the wood around the blind nuts or mounting plates. It's happened to some of my games in my garage so I know first hand. :(
