Left flipper works with 67.5v to each lug.

Right flipper not working. one lug has 67.5v the other 2 have 15v.
Much corrosion on EOS.
Reflowed all 2 lugs and now get 30v on 2 lugs and still 67.5 on other.
Shorting lug to EOS does not kick flipper.
Is this problem in the coil and EOS area?
Can boards in the head of game be ruled out?

Both pics are of right flipper

Thanks for your help.
David

flipper problem

have you tried testing the flippers in the coil test? this will make sure you are getting a ground sent from the driver board to the flipper unit. You may have to hold the flipper buttons in during the coil test to see both flippers work during the test. Have you checked the flipper coil itself to see if it is good to begin with? Coils are a high failure rate on these older style games....you can swap the left and right one to be sure before you buy one only to find out it was good to begin with. Good luck.

Put a jumper across the EOS and hit the button, don't hold it in. Does it flip?? If so your EOS is bad or in need of a good cleaning, if not, how is the cabinet switch? But those voltages suggest a bad coil/diode. Turn off power and block open the EOS with some paper and desolder 1 leg of the diode, then do a resistance check, comparing it to the other coil. And test the diodes while you have them desoldered, one may be leaky. Good luck!

Now working.

Just replaced the right fipper coil, plunger, and flipper bat sleeve/guide. Works great.
Thanks for all your help.
Did not have time to do EOS, but works fine now.
