Any one interested in a rebuild kit or know of a rebuild kit available? The only one I could find was out of stock in England for about 50. If no one knows of one I'll put one together and post it if there's any interest.

As much as I'd love to keep my games at home "stock"... for my Midway Space Invaders, I've already settled on a switching PS adapter... for the same reason you listed above; cost and availability.

Granted, there are people that have more money and patience than I do, and they'd probably be interested in a kit, but there's no telling how many people would actually get one when its "crunch time".

i did the same thing for a customer, although my personal one has an original PS.

And to the OP - whenever you're talking about Space Invaders repairs, you should specify whether you are referring to a Midway or Taito....

I may just make a mouser project and share it to be honest. With the volume of possible sales, it's not worth the possible 100 bucks I would need to facilitate this. I may however do a board layout for myself, if I do that I would sell that for something like $5... You buy the caps, I'll sell you the plans that show you where they go.

I know this board is in Taito machines with European or Asian decent...not sure where else. It's a very hard to find schematic that's why I inlcuded the number.

What happen to restoration :) switches blech :)

I didn't even look at my PS board to know which he was talking about. lol

The cabinet is big (strike 1), against the wall (strike 2), and my dolly has a flat tire (steeeeeeeeerike 3!).

I just assumed he was talking about Midway because I'm fairly certain the world revolves around me, me, me.

I would love to get a hold of a P/S rebuild kit for SI. I need two or three of them. I am talking about Midway for mine.

Ok sorry if I'm dissapointing everyone, but I know this is for a Taito machine, I will write Bob and find out if the midway is the same board, but I don't think it is. There have been a few posts about this power supply, it has very hard to find schematics, and so I thought I would just put it out there to see if anyone else was thinking of a rebuild. There is a very clearly labelled number on the board and I will attach a picture.

Yes, Bob's is for the Midway version. The Taito power supply is very different.

And this is the rare of the two taito versions, there is actually a bridge rectifier mounted next to the transformer that feeds ths supply. The power supply is not in a metal cage, it is mounted below the monitor. Please check your board, the numbers in the subject of this thread will be prominent if it is he right board.

Did anyone ever find this? I've got an original B&W Taito Space Invaders cocktail that could use a rebuilt kit.

There's one critical part that you'll never find for this SI board...the IC "7089". I believe that it's is a voltage regulator. I have the original schematics if anyone is interested.

Do you still have schematics for the Taito AA017751 power supply?

Anyone ever come across the elusive schematics for this P/S (Taito AA017751)? Blew this thing up the other day and need to find out the value of an evaporated cap...

I have a AA017751 power supply in front of me now.
Which cap do you need to know the value for.

Post a picture of the location and I should be able to tell you the value.

Here's a picture of my P/S with the cap location circled. It used to be a tantalum cap (I think) at one point... Once I get this figured out, I may just do an inventory of all the components on this board and post a map for those running into this type of issue.
