Have located every part i need to restore my new pin, but cant find the playfield overlay. Searching around it seems that it was made, possibly by Jeff at Classic Arcades?? But they wont respond to my emails. I even found a stencil kit, so i can go all out on this resto, but the playfield wear is gonna hold it back. It actually has an overlay already on it in the center, and previous owner had it for 20 years, so i think the overlay is out there somewhere. Any help appreciated. Its the final puzzle piece i need

Already ordered
Plastic set
4 coils
Apron decal
Coin door decal
Stencil kit
Plunger
Drop targets
Bumper caps
4 billion bulbs
Flippers
Rubber kit

And various other smalls

Help me find the playfield overlay, or a high quality scan!!!!

Yup, I am in your shoes as well.

Different overlays have been made by various people at different times. No one makes one right now, and they are pretty much impossible to find. I have heard that Jeff from Classic Arcades gets asked the question so often that he now refuses to even answer people when they ask. i.e. why he has not responded to you, nor me.

I think at this point it is just a waiting game. Someone else will eventually make an overlay or CPR will make a reproduction playfield. At least one CPR artist has expressed interest, though if the project happened it wouldn't be for a couple years from what I last heard.

All in all your s*** out of luck at the moment.

Let me know if you find a high res scan and area able to get your own overlay produced. I would definitely be interested in one.

Well that sucks. Guess plan B. Make everything else look awesome to take your eyes away from the worn areas!!!!!

Yup, I actually plan to use my Space Invaders playfield as my first attempt at restoring/touching up a playfield myself and clearcoating it. I know anything I do will make it look better, and if I do a shitty job I know that I am already planning on covering it up with an overlay whenever I get my hands on one, or just replacing it with a CPR reproduction.

I have a classic arcade overlay I bought last year for my ongoing restore. I havent installed it yet, so if you can tell me where to take it and what to ask for Ill see about getting a scan of it done up

I dont know where to go but I'd be very interested when you have it done. Thanks! :)

Great news!! We will definetly appreciate that. Anybody in the decal business or arcade sideart that could copy it? Somebody, anybody, chime in at any time!!!!

Heard back from Advertgraphix, he can print it, but cant scan it. Anybody have any ideas? Ever feel like your having a conversation with yourself?

I dont have a scanner, printer, or any talent, but it seems to be an easy project!!!

I believe I have an overlay in my inventory. I hate using overlays to restore playfields and the issues that can happen with them with clear coating. I will check and see if I still have it.

Sweet!! ill buy it, but still wanna get copies made for others. Im having a good day today

If you have another in stock I'll buy it. Just LMK!

Well, No luck getting an overlay. My stencil kit is coming in a few days. Ive put lots of new parts on her, and restored everything but the stencils and the playfield. Too bad no overlay, as it will never be perfect. hopefully will be the best looking "player" game!!

Sorry, got sidetracked getting a couple pins ready to go out. Ill call a few print shops here in town first part of the week and see if any of them can scan it
