Space Invaders only works in player 1 mode

I know this is a long shot with out any pictures of the board or setup but I was posed this question and since I have no ideal without physically seeing the game I thought I would throw this out here to see if anyone had any ideals. Here is his quote of what the issue is.

"When I play in 1 player mode it works great, when I put it in 2 player mode everything comes up right it just doesnt move or fire. It is a stand up game. I could not find anything on the dip switch for 1 and 2 player mode"

Had the same problem. Make sure DIP switches 5-6-7 are ON.

Cocktail mode on or off ?
(I didn't flip through the manual to verify settings)

EDIT: But that would flip the screen too.....duh.

Yeah make sure all 3 are the same and it could be a cocktail board, especially if its a deluxe. I think player 1 controls are the plug closer to the end of the board. If you use the wrong plug, the fire buttons may still work but not the left-right motion.
