Space Invaders moon art... Anyone have a large, clean scan?

I'm nearing the painting stage of my gameroom. One of the things I'm thinking about doing is painting a large version of the SI moon art on one of the walls. I'm hoping to find a large clean scan that I can print and project on the wall as my template.

Anyone have a link or art that they can share?

Thanks!

How hard is it to remove said art from a machine?

If it's not too difficult, I can take the art out of mine and scan it or take a high res picture...

Cool idea, BTW.

Thanks for the fast reply... I found this image by digging around with google. Its not very large, but actually might work for my needs. It doesn't have to be perfectly smooth when blown up as I can fill in the missing details.

I got some sticker shock researching art and slide projectors though. Looking at DIY options now. Saw a cool one a guy made with a bunch of magnifying glass lenses.

Gotcha. Ok, well... Offer is still open if it's not a giant pain. (I haven't taken the SI apart at all yet, so not familiar with where everything is...)

You might look into VGA projectors. I think those can be had for like $300 or less new, nowadays. Also, check with friends that are teachers or go to church - both locations usually have overhead projectors to be borrowed. ;)

Try to get that image printed onto a transparancy for an overhead projector. Might have to use a special fast dry ink? Anyway, all you need printed is the black areas. When you project the image, trace the outline of the moon, then paint the whole area yellow, and red where you need it. Come back when that is dry and paint the black areas as its projected. Your project should go up in no time. Good Luck!

Thanks for all the great suggestions.

Richard, the stencil idea sounds cool but would probably be prohibitively expensive for me. I'm tentatively looking at this to be about 5 to 6 feet wide on the wall opposite the entry door. My walls are brick about 3' up and the moon would appear to be coming up behind them.

I didn't expect such a fast response to the question, I've just finished taping and mudding the drywall so this is still a few weeks off at least!

Thanks to Terry TnP for the large scan!
