Space Invaders Deluxe Question

So, I found a Space Invaders Deluxe cab in overall decent shape. Without being able to really inspect it close, it appears to be about a 7/10 or 8/10. No boards included, and it definitely needs a new CPO. Wiring harness, transformer and power block are all reported to be intact and working. Coin door is still intact. Monitor is reported to be working and in decent shape. Bezel is in good shape as well.

I offered $80. Too low? Too high?

I will most likely pick up a new board set and add a 8-game multi-chip along with basic cleanup and new CPO.

Seems fair enough as long as you're not pumping a ton of money into the monitor. A boardset won't be cheap. Probably $150 or so.

I'm thinking about the same. He seems pretty proud of some of his stuff, so I'm curious what his response will be. He's got quite a few cabs that are teetering on the edge of "salvageable" and this is one that I almost feel a moral obligation to save.

Getting it also entails an hour and a half drive to pick it up.

HA! He replied back saying he wanted $350!!

Said the monitor, alone, was worth $200.

Well, the guy keeps coming back to "The monitor is worth XX dollars, and you're not even offering me enough to cover that" type response.

Anyone seen a replacement (if they are even produced) or a working, used monitor for one of these things up for grabs, of late? Any idea of pricing?

He's not budging me over $100 for it, but now I'm just starting to be curious about it.

He said he would buy a new board for it and he'd show me that the monitor worked. I told him to take my $100, he wouldn't have to do a thing and I'll take it off his hands.

I feel like I'm being fair.
