So there are no repro options for Space Invaders Deluxe control panels?

Really?

We can get Warlords cocktail glass out the wazoo, but not Space freakin Invaders?

Seriously?

Also, I owned an SID before and traded it to another klover, and I could have sworn it had a cpo that was silk screened on aluminum, but the SID I just picked up is like a sticker or screened on plexi?

Go to a machine shop and have them make you one...or make it yourself. The one I had was a 1/16th aluminum. And drill the holes out.. It really shouldn't be that hard.. Only unless mine was not a nos one..

Hope this helps

Mine seems to be silk-screened to laminate covered wood. Looks original:

I believe what you got there is a willis
Midway did do a reverse silkscreen on a clear poly like a defender and stargate later on
But the first orginals were screened directly to the metal

Hmmmmm, then I'll probably take one of your screened metal ones at some point. I like this one, it's in really good shape, but I'd love to see a screened metal CP on this machine again. BTB, any word on the SID kickplate solution? I'm getting ever closer to stencilling mine and I'd love a solution for the kickplate before I start.

Ok so I guess that makes sense - my first one was aluminum, and the current one is reverse silkscreened on clear poly. When I bought it I had just assumed someone put a piece of plexi on top of the aluminum, so since there was a bunch of cig burns on the plexi it would be no big deal just to take it off and have fresh aluminum below.

Would definitely love to see another run of these...your regular SI cpo is very nice

I've got one of the ones Rich did previously. It's purdy.

If I remember I'll post pictures.

Phet, yours is like one of my old ones. Most likely Willis.

I know GOG sells the polycarb stick on kind. But if Rich is going to do a new run later, I'd wait.

I actually have 2 of those SI Deluxe NOS panels (silkscreened on the metal panel), I thought they were from Astro Invaders but they are same as that pic, if someone needs one, shoot me an email I guess???

this is what I have
so yeah they are SI and been spoken for

NOS Space Invaders Deluxe CP Overlay

I have a Space Invaders Deluxe aluminium plate still in the Midway 1980 brown paper.

The only thing is it doesn't look like that one in the picture here but I did have the red cab in the UK that had this version fitted.

It is thicker than the repro plates doing the rounds but may have been a conversion since many operators imported the machines from Japan at the time.

Not sure if it's original or not now but it is around twice as thick as the normal one with the buttons fitted here.

If anyone wants to make an offer / trade on it PM me but remember it is in the UK so postage will have to be calculated...

James :-}

Mine was similar but not the same as the ones shown. Silk screened on alum.
