Finally got the power supply recapped, so all voltages present and accounted for, reset circuit operational.

I'm using the Braze multigame kit and previously received 1 beep. Replaced ram #1. Then received 6 beeps, replaced #6 and 6 beeps remain. Anything else that would cause a false positive on ram #6?

But wait! There's more!

Found a cracked...something..

Borrowing a google'd pic, What are the green components? I have a cracked one right next to #6 .Also.. anyone know the writing on that one? Mine is unreadable.

i have exactly similar prob as you, used braze kit and it diagnosed bad rams,i didnt just replace the faulty one i also replaced the other in the pair,it kept giving me 15 beeps and i replace both ram in the pair and it kept saying bad 15,so i resocketed it and then i went and cracked that same resistor (i think its a resistor) and i changed it for a 1k 50v i think it was,the schems says not to use lower than 25v if i aint mistaken.anyways,it heats up now and i get no pic and loads of invader sounds etc.also i noticed glow like something burning up where i put the replacement.

so i still got faulty ram at h location i think it is and i need the same part or equivalent.i actualy bought some boards someone has sold on these forums and am waiting for them to come so i can start gain and see if i can get a working ram board or 2 or whatever from the lot he sent.
;)

Once I get the ram issues sorted out (and hopefully nothing else is wrong), I need to figure out of the dim video is the monitor or the pcb.

Hello,
Let me ask you, on the reset line I measure voltage and I have 2.7 volts ,should have 0.5 ?.
grounded the reset and same issue no boot any help would be great...

thanks

i had 2.5 until i replaced the cap in the reset circuit.
are you just grounding for a second or connecting that component i mentioned to ground? i had to keep a constant ground to get it to boot.

Monolithic capacitor... can be replaced with a simple ceramic.

104z = .1uf

The point I used for ground was on the large cap ,the neg side of the 6000uf is this right or you prefer another....

thanks

i used the open hole next to the cap that is next to the large cap, shouldnt matter as long as you're connecting it to ground
