well i just got home to try to fire this space invaders deluxe up and when it powers i hear a slight little beep and the marquee lights come on and a very slight buz from the monitor buts thats it, does it take long for these to boot or what else could be the problem, i cant hear no game play or coin up and such

this maybe a newb and stupid question but the ground post on my electrical cord that gives the machine power is broken off, do i need a ground ? my hosue has older wiring and is only 2 wire any way

I just checked the voltages and everything is looking good, as far as voltage from the power supply, any other ideas, its still doing the same thing, only marquee lights come on and no sounds or monitor glow or anything

It Lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cleaned some contacts and some pins and the monitor cuts on and is displaying garbage of right now, but Im happy to see the monitor on and fully working and bright as can be. Looks like I gotta bad edge connector on the pcb making the voltages drop around 4.60 and 11.40, Im going to clean and repair the contacts and should do the problem away

I adjusted the voltages with the pots and still doing garbage and no games sounds are comming out, here is a pic of what it does

Yeah, that's what I thought... wasn't sure. I think you can get around that by grounding the reset line... ... but don't quote me on that, wait for someone else that's 100% sure to chime in.

any idea how to ground it? i bet it will fix it, that sea wolf looks exactly like mine and i can tell the game isnt booting

Well, the reset signal starts on the power supply board....then it travels through a chip or two on the daughterboard.....then off to the motherboard. Judging by your voltage readings...it sounds like the signal is being generated at the power supply board. You can have issues on the daughterboard....or the motherboard. The signal has to travel through that big 72-pin interconnect. Have you taken the motherboard/daughterboard apart and re-plugged them back together? Also, I'd make sure the signal is actually getting to the daughterboard. Crappy connectors, or cold solder joints at any of the connectors headers could prevent it from getting to it's destination.

Yes I have tryed taking the daughter board off and reconnecting, and i tested the voltage on the actual board where the main pwer connects too and the voltages were good
