The repros that Troy did about 10 years ago were awesome, but I felt they were darker in color and a little too smooth and glossy. The originals were a lighter satin gray with the obvious midway texture underneath. Here is one of his repros:
I have the same coin door and took it to the Color Store, and their scan gave me "NCS S 7502-B". But after checking the NCS color charts, I think "NCS S 7010-R90B" is closer to the original and they recommend a water-based, semi-gloss paint and primer in one, I used this "https://alcro.se/produkter/pallad-halvblank-grund-och-tackfarg" But is a Swedish brand.
I just used this and it looks pretty good to me. I'm not a pro or anything and mine wasn't bad enough to strip either. I gave it a coat of this and it's purdy.
