Are these the same types of panels that were in galaxian cocktails?
I see a nonworking SI cocktail locally and was thinking of getting it and making it a multicade.

It is a nonworking game before anyone wants to read me the riot act and I was going to gift it not flip it.

I am not looking for a big project but if it is a monitor swap, control panel swap, and wire for jamma I could handle that. The machine looks like it is in ok shape.

Its the same as the early cabs. They didn't have a joystick they had a funky switch ou turn left or right

Bear in mind that the control panel is angled and the mounts for the slider controls are welded in place. A Sanwa joystick is about the only thing that will shoehorn in there for a multicade. Unless you're going to use an LCD, you will need to permanently mount the top to the cabinet as a 19" color monitor will not swing out like the old BW monitor did; there is not enough clearance for the neck.

Thanks for the feedback on the monitor. I had a spare color monitor but it sounds like that would not work. Using a sanwa stick does not bother me too much but I wouldn't want to have a LCD for the display.

Looks like I will pass, hopefully someone who wants a SI cocktail snags it and gets it working again
