Afternoon all,

Putting a little time into a SI I have had sitting for too long. My problem is with the sync.

The 19V1002 has a 12 pin on the back, and I'm just wondering which pin is for sync, so I can check to make sure my SI going to the proper pin.

I believe this monitor came of of an SI cocktail, and it looks fine if i could get it to stop rolling.

Thanks!

There is not a pin for sync on that connector. The sync is combined with the video signal on the game PCB and leaves the board as composite video. The monitor connector only has video, video ground and ac power going to it.

I'm going to guess you already tried the v-hold and h-hold pots so you could try taking the composite signal from the board and hook it up to a TV or input a good signal into the monitor and see if it still rolls. I use my Atari flashback 2 to test my black and whites

You may just want to be gentle the turning hold pot. I'm working on a SI II and I had the same problem as you are. I ended up using a small screwdriver to adjust it and when I did, it gave me more control over the settings. It is such a touchy little amount that I needed to turn the pot. I worked on it for about 15 - 20 minutes till I hit it's sweet spot. Guess I should just replace the pot..............
That may not work for you, but it did on mine.
