Ok, so I am ballsdeep into my Zektor project.
Originally I was going to use my minty Omega Race, but with the mirrored monitor
and blacklit backdrop coupled with the fact that a nonworking Star Trek wound up
in my garage, it is now being housed in a Sega convertacab.
I would post some pics, but I am patiently awaiting shipment of the control panel and marquee. (Space Fury Bezel anyone?)
Big thanks to Jason "Utahtaper" for the Zektor setup.

Also, I was wondering if anyone knows Archer Maclean? Is he a member here?
His repro work looks damn good....

Just getting started on my Zektor project.

Love to hear how you hook everything up, what issues you run into, etc.

I would be more than happy to help you if you get stuck. I got her up and running on two different pc's and three different style vector monitors.

That would be great.

Just got a system running with DOS. Now to get it to see the Zektor board.

I will be running this with a 6100. I have the parts for the cable, but have not built it yet.

Picking up a Space Duel cab this weekend.

I like the results I got from the 6100 the best.
Problem is I don't have a spare power supply for that monitor.
(borrowed it temporarily from my Tempest)
The pic I got on my GO8 was not as sharp and crisp and the lines looked
a tad broken. There is a zvg tweak utility I still have yet to mess with,
and I still have to do a bulletproof and cap kit to my GO8. I was glad to
just get a pic!

That's good to hear.

The cab I am picking up is missing the Power Supply (I just sold my last one about a month ago :( ). Found 2 locally, and one on the forums. :D Love this hobby! :p

I dont think Archer is doing any repo artwork anymore, he is overseas in England. He does the most amazing work and his last project he was working on was the Star Wars cockpit art. The last time I talked to him was a couple yrs ago and he was not doing art anymore as the time he put into it and the pricing people where screwing him around on. I told him if he ever decided to get back into repo art to give me a call as I would pay his price cuz his stuff was amazing. I havnt heard from him since, but he is a standup guy and his work is spectacular. Just FYI.

I emailed him a few months ago, so he was available recently, and yes, he said the same thing, no longer has time to do it. :(

I also will be setting up a PC to boot directly into Vector mame soon

Hey,

Finally got around to getting it all together... Messing with the sound card right now.

Is there a way to remove games from the menu that I dont want to come up?

The default settings on the ZVG is tailored for the 6100, I believe. You will get better results once you tweak it with ZVG Tweak.

Speaking of which, the Windows version of that is now available from the VM4W download site (www.radiantbacon.com)
