Ok, so I got a stack of non working Space Fury PCB's and a nice working dedicated Star Trek from Luna City last week.
I have been a swappin and trading pcbs like no tomorrow. I am able to get a Space Fury up and running but without any sounds. Initially I thought it was the unique Space Fury sound board but today I made a strange discovery. I effed up and left a Rom board populated with Star Trek Roms in the Space Fury cage and the Alien started spitting out one liners one after the other. Of course the screen was a garbled mess. That leads me to believe I have bad Space Fury Roms in an otherwise good rom board. (If I put Star Trek Roms in it it works fine) I left an email for Steph at Hobby Roms so I can order some replacements. hopefully this remedies my woes..
any thoughts?
The only bad news is now my Star Trek locks up upon startup. I have to hit the rest switch once and then it plays perfect once more..
Ahh Sega XYs
