Hey all I just finished restoring a Midway Space Encounters
I'd rate it 9.6 out of 10.
It works 100 percent.

Any idea on the value

Yeah, I saw the price on EXIDY that shows that..but somehow I just think that is very low, just on the rarity. I could be mistaken. I could not even find any old EBAY sales to show, so I just don't know. LOL
Thanks for the input...any others with thoughts?

I actually feel that the exidy guide is a bit high on that one. Yes, it's a rare game, but rare games aren't always sought after. It's not a bad game, and the cabinet is cool, but the market for the B&W games just isn't that strong. I think it's one to restore because you love it, more than it's one to restore to make a big profit on.

Totally agree with this, and funny thing is I didn't even check the Exidy guide on it. I was going by what I've seen them sell for. There actually was a working one here in Fl. on CL that sat for a while for sale for $300.

I might just offer it up for sale here in a bit...It almost too night for me to put in my arcade and would deserve a good home for a collector. We shall see :)

I have had a couple and paid $50 and $100 for them both non working. here in the North West the Bronze age games are making a come back with the collectors. I think because we have run out of games that are different from our buddies arcade. I love this game and sold one for $400 after repairing it and felt that was a fair price and went to a fellow collector who appreciates it.

I LOVE the cab and the red flashing lights when you destroy enemies. Such a sweet looking game. I'd think with some detailed pics, you could get $500+ for it.

I have listed it for sale/trade under the whole games, with lots of pictures.
Thanks all!

Yeah, i bought my fully restored SE for 350. 400 is not out of the question either as long as the white strobe is working and syncing with gameplay and the red alert light bulb are completely working. 350 - 400 fully restored is a good deal. Above that people will buy something else. Thats alot for a B&W. In this hobby rarity doesnt always mean buku dollars.

It's a shame some of the B/W's aren't worth more. I think it's a super fun game (I have the mini) and the UR cabinet is WAY cooler than the mini.

That said, I have a question. My joystick doesn't have anything to center it (like springs or a grommet or a spider). So, what should it have and where would I buy it?

Thanks so much!
