I picked up a Space Encounters Cabaret with no boards, wiring, power supply, coin door. But it does have a nice control panel, decent glass, colored bezel and light bar, status of monitor unknown.

Just curious to see if anyone is interested in the parts. Is it cost effective to look for the parts for this?

Thanks, dave

I have a feeling that you have a very desirable machine there that quite a few mini collectors would love to have. Your machine is somehow missing all of the common parts and somehow has all of the rare and unobtanium parts intact.

I've never seen a joystick insert that says "Galactic Weapons Systems". I double checked the sales flyer, and it appears it is original to the Space Encounters mini. That's gotta be crazy rare!

Kyle

If money is your goal then you would probably do best selling off your mini as you have it now. There are likely multiple collectors willing to give you $200-$250 for your incomplete machine. You can try to piece it together, but that might end up being less profitable in the long run.

I am sort of drooling over this. I have a broken Tron cabaret (and I HATE TRON) that I would love to change over to something I like.

No need to drool: Space Encounters parts won't fit in a TRON cabaret.

I suggest you sell the TRON for something you like. Even broken, it'll get you some $$, and you'll avoid converting a rare game.

Did you get this game from member Darth Vader?

No, I pulled this out of a friends barn. He used to buy truckloads of cabinets from an operator and he stripped the boards and stuff to fix his upright he also has.

The cabinet is pretty trashed, does anyone make a stencil kit for this?

I have at least one working SE motherboard here. I don't think I have the daughterboard or sound board but if you found them and they need repair I can tackle them (after some time as I'm booked right now).

You can rebuild the wiring harness with a few bucks worth of molex connectors or mostly repurpose an SI harness.

Nobody in this area would buy that piece for $100, much less $200-250. Their has been another SE mini floating around the area for the past 5 years. I have traded it away 3 time and received it back twice. It was always a toss in to help a deal be fair. I even tried to sell it for $100 with no takers about 5 years ago.

Hey bro,
"Trashed", you mean bottom rotted out from water damage from sitting in that barn.

Well I have a Space Encounters mini and havnt seen any parts for it until now...I honestly love the game and the cab are awesome. I pulled mine from an old auction and the game came from a military base so its in great shape...Love the parts for sure and ya dont see them much at all.
