Space Duel side art "NEW"

The colors look kinda off, but it could be the lighting. Never heard of the seller.

Yeah he talks about his camera and not getting the colors to show, was just wondering if anyone else knew anything.

Wow. I SURE could use a set. My Space Duel looks great from the front, but the sides need help...

I bought a set, looks like he has 2 left. I hope they look better than in the picture. Either way it will look better than what is on my machine now anyways.

Repro is on the right. Colors are off, but it doesn't look too bad.

This is always going to happen

It's a matter of good enough or nothing

I am working on Lunar Lander Sideart and I am guessing there will be some color differences too once it's all done

As long as there aren't 2 next to one another it will be OK

I'm wondering where the files came from. Last I checked, no one had vectored Space Duel yet. Maybe it's just a scan.

They would be nice to find. I would rather have thisoldgame or prOk print them up. Keep the money "in house" .....

Space Duel Side Art

Hi Guys, It is a scan. The colors are off, so I fixed them. I am also sending out new copies to the guys that bought them. Also, if you notice, the bubbles next to the laser of the ship in the middle are missing. I fixed that. The yellow needed to be a shade darker, the green needed to be a shade lighter, the dark blue was too dark, and the light blue needed to be more of a turquoise. I dont want to change the red or orange. On the original side art, the red and orange looked almost the same. I am going to have the printer print up a pallete so I can match the colors with his printer. I will put up pictures next to the original side art as soon as I get them printed. My next project is going to be a Peter Pack Rat marquee. Mine is separating. Anyone know if anybody makes those?

I'm curious. Why do people take something this far off on pretty much all the colors and accept it as ok to use, but then if the dot on an I in a font of one of the silkscreen repro's is a tenth of a millimeter off people scream it's unacceptable?

Holy shit Brian, this is the question of the decade.

Welcome to the forums. Ignore the insults and post up a pic after you get the colors matched. I'm glad someone is trying to provide art that is not currently available.

Looks great to me, or one could live with side art that is all banged up from moving a game from arcade to arcade. The price is right compared to a silk screen, which probably would be twice the price or more. He already said he will get the printer to correct the colors and send out replacements to the buyers who have already purchased them. I've purchased a set and they look great.

Just from the photos pictured, it looks to me like the original "sample" has been "Yelowed" from sun fading where it is supposed to be White. Trust me, I would take this over the nasty sides that are currently on MY personal machine. It might even make the machine nice enough for me to move it out of my office at work and back into the arcade...
