Space Duel - Monitor shutting off after 5 minutes

Hi All,

Really hoping to get some help, I have a Atari Space Duel and the game plays fine, the monitor looks good but after about 5 minutes the monitor shuts off and game plays blind, any ideas on how I could start to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated.

Start by using the Advanced Thread Search to look for other Space Duel threads, or threads with other vector games that are having the same issue. There are thousands of threads about vector troubleshooting. Those threads will show you steps you can do to try to diagnose what's going on.

Here's one from earlier this week, to get you started, so we don't have to type the same things out again. Read and understand that one, then go back and apply what you've learned to your machine. Then come back here and ask more questions. (And search for more threads.)

WG6100 On Our Tempest Cuts Out At Parties [Resolved?]

Title. I suspect this is a B+ Issue(?) But haven't yet pulled the cab to check, but I thought this was potentially interesting enough to post. My wife and I almost never turn on all the games at once. Only at parties. On the average night, we'll turn on maybe 3-4 to play those, and that's it...

I would NEVER think I can add to what andrewb has to say about color vectors. But .... When mine was doing this a few weeks back, it was the 5vdc pot going wonky and putting out 6 or 8 vdc and shutting itself down.
