I have a major havoc conversion kit. In my space duel. I went to play some space duel this am. So I unhooked the conversion board and pcb. Hooked up SD back to the edge connector. Fired it up and no high voltage crackle. Nothing on screen. Hooked MH back up and it works again. Now the MH has been fincky it shrinks into the 3rd middle of the screen randomly some times but if you bump the side of the cab it comes back.
So ill post a vid of this because its confusing. Here's the kicker. My knowledge is gamers only. So if you tell me to check voltages here or there I'm lost. Unless you post a vid or walk through I would love to learn this stuff.
Thanks for reading my desperate post. Game on

I guess my question is why would the monitor not fire up with one board vs another. Is there power running through the board. That tell the monitor to fire up? Just looking for a starting point.

If the board has a bad X Y output it could cause the monitor not to turn on, or just the center spot light.

Just test know working MH board everything perfect. Put in space duel no picture no hv crackle. Control panel lights up board on monitor lights up? Does that mean boards most likely dead

Is the LED on the monitor PCB lit? That is the spotkiller and is the indicator that the monitor has been disabled because it is not receiving a proper signal.

Unfortunately the information you have provided is not sufficient for anyone to determine whether "Does that mean boards most likely dead" is true or not.

It is very possible that your board has a problem, but there are so many other things it could be too that you either need to work through this thread (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=177192), buy a replacement board, or send your board out for test/repair.
